This is a celebration of choral music on the Mornington Peninsula featuring fantastic performances by local community, church and school choirs.
History
The Mornington Peninsula Choral Festival first came to fruition in 2006 when a small group of local music teachers and choral directors gathered to discuss the possibility of a choral festival for local choirs. A small committee was formed and after a year of planning the festival was launched on a beautiful day in May 2007. Toorak College provided the perfect setting for the ‘Choirs in the Round’ format.
Since then the festival has evolved to become five concerts with many school and community choirs regularly supporting the event.
The commit of the choristers and their conductors produce a wonderful variety of songs performed to a high standard.
